The 1821 Digital Archive is the fruit of long collaboration between archives, libraries, universities, and museums, with a view to creating an online space dedicated to the Greek Revolution.
In the ‘Archives’ section you can browse collections and search for archival material, objects, works of art, music and books.
In the ‘Exhibits’ section you will find thematic units that highlight the dialogue between ‘archive’, ‘art’ and ‘technology’ for the production of scholarship.
In ‘Publications’ there are original studies about the 1821 Revolution in a specially designed online reading space.
In ‘Schools’ you can browse a digital archive produced by Greek schoolchildren, which lists monuments and artefacts in the public domain that are associated with the 1821 Revolution.
The 1821 Digital Archive, which is being expanded on an ongoing basis, is open to the public for research, browsing, reading, or any other use you wish to make of it.
